Wynwood Walls March 8 2020

James Gillies • March 9, 2020

A few images from our visit to the walls. The idea was to go on a Sunday morning .....early to avoid the crowds. Wynwood is not far from where we live and only took 20 minutes or so to get there and traffic was not an issue.

We got there about 10:30 am and found a convenient parking space. It seems like a lot of people had the same idea. Although we were able to get around just fine it wasn't long before tour buses started showing up.

We had a good couple of hours of wandering the streets and stopping for some coffee. There was a club of old pick-up truck - low riders that showed up and parked at least 15 trucks that got everyones attention for a while.

Normally we would take the day to wonder the streets and take it all in, have lunch and take hundreds of photos. But the weather was cool and windy for Miami and many decided to come to Wynwood rather than the beach.

One thing we did not see this time was the artists working on the walls. Maybe it was the weekend or we didn't stray to far into the district.

Regardless .... lots of fun and I hope to go back soon.
